Longtemps je n'ai pas compris pourquoi mon père, Breton vrai de vrai, avait interdit à ma mère de m'offrir une Bécassine. Maintenant je sais. <br />Le personnage de la gentille bécasse pas dégourdie sortant de son trou provincial a été inventé lorsque la Bretagne, crevant de misère et de faim, envoyait ses enfants chercher la survie ailleurs. Les garçons embarquaient pour le continent américain, les filles partaient dans des wagons à bestiaux (ça ne vous rappelle rien ?) vers la capitale ou elles arrivaient sans parler un mot de français et servaient au mieux de bonnes à tout faire, au pire de prostituées bon marché.
